Steal These Thoughts! Newsletter: The connected human experience

Check out the latest edition of my newsletter.

This week I explore the skills L&D teams need in today’s world. Plus, the revelations that our choices show us and how we can adapt workplace learning in this new normal.

It seems we are still in strange times. In my own process of figuring out if it’s weird, to not feel weird when the world is weird. I decided to use this week’s edition to talk about connected experiences.

I explore the connected employee experience and unpack why your learning function can be the most essential piece of it all. Plus, a tool to help you really get to the bottom of what’s bothering you and what a post COVID world could look like, according to historian and author Yuval Noah Harari.

First up, I explore the real value of workplace L&D/Talent Development teams and the influence they have on the full talent lifecycle. Too many company’s operate in silo mentalities. We can change that by connecting the the full employee experience and L&D/TD functions can be the central driver of this.

Why did I write this: Because people need a connected HR experience and too many workplaces undervalue what their L&D/TD functions are truly capable of doing in breaking down the silos.

Next, a spotlight on solving problems by unlocking the true underlying causes with the 5 whys technique. A great tool for workplace challenges and in your personal life too.

Last but most certainly not least, a insightful article from Yuval Noah Harari, author of Sapiens and 21 lessons for the 21st century on what a post COVID would could look like.

That’s it for this week. Please do share your thoughts with me on these pieces or anything I share on the Twitterverse and LinkedIn. Chat to you soon and stay safe out there people!

Don’t forget to subscribe if you like what you see and please share with others too.
