10 Quotes For Better humans

I love quotes, who doesn’t?

Personally, I like the deep, dark and philosophical kind that gets me thinking about the possibilities and pitfalls of life.

I have so many quotes across my note-taking apps that I could probably publish a book just full of them. Most of these end up in an edition of my weekly newsletter at some point.

Here’s 10 that I like to share often ⬇️

“True happiness beats in your chest. Work out what you like to do best and try to do more of that. Don’t torture yourself pondering the purpose of life. It’s here, it’s now & it won’t last forever, so enjoy it.”

An old mentor

“The effect you have on others, is the most valuable currency you have”

Jim Carrey

“‎Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of others, instead, seek what they sought.”

Matsuo Basho

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

“All courses of action are risky, so prudence is not in avoiding danger (it’s impossible), but calculating risk and acting decisively. Make mistakes of ambition and not mistakes of sloth. Develop the strength to do bold things, not the strength to suffer.”

Niccolo Machiavelli

“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth”

Muhammad Ali

“Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.”

Brene Brown

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.”

Anne Lamott

“Don’t believe everything you think”

BJ Miller

“People fall so in love with their pain, they can’t leave it behind. The same as the stories they tell. We trap ourselves.”

Chuck Palahniuk
